Welcome to MHA of San Diego County
Leading the Way to Mental Health

Founded in 1909 by former psychiatric patient Clifford Beers, the National Mental Health Association (NMHA) is the only organization dedicated to addressing all aspects of mental health and mental illnesses.  Mr. Beers, a Yale graduate, created NMHA to expose and correct the injustices he observed and experienced during his hospitalizations for Bipolar Disorder.
