I know advocacy, philanthropy and volunteering play a role in your life. And I know that you believe you can make a difference. I’m here to tell you that you can!

Just as Clifford W. Beers, a young businessman who struggled with a mental illness and shared his story with the world in his autobiography, “A Mind That Found Itself.” He created a national citizens’ group, now known as Mental Health America, to promote mental health and improve conditions for children and adults living with these health problems. A century later, we join together with the knowledge that good mental health is fundamental to the health and well-being of every person and to our community as a whole. As information changes frequently, I have created the ‘Bringing Wellness Home” blog to help keep you informed on those issues impacting our movement to live mentally healthier lives.
Bringing wellness home,

Scott Suckow
Chief Executive Officer
Mental Health America of San Diego County
