About the event
This is a 2-day training on February 14th and 16th, 2024. Training will begin at 12 Noon to 4:00 PM on both days. You must attend both days to obtain certification in Mental Health First Aid.
Please note that this is an In-Person, 2-day, 4-hr per day training. At the end of the training, each participant will receive a certification that is good for 3 years. A 15-minute break will be provided during training. Mental Health America of San Diego County is following the guidelines provided by the County of San Diego. If you have experienced any flu-like symptoms, we encourage you to register for our virtual training or attend the in-person training at a later date. Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and substance use.
