This annual behavioral health conference and resource fair highlights innovative and unique care in mental health treatment and supportive care. The resource fair allows attendees to network with other professionals related to new approaches in care. The conference promotes collaboration, cooperation, and understanding related to mental health.

“La Cultura Cura: How Cultural Practices Inform our Health”
In this year’s Keynote address by Dr. Hilda Gonzalez, L.Ac. and Dr. Raymond A. Berdugo, M.D., we will explore how deep traditional roots and practices contribute positively to our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Berdugo practice traditional indigenous ways and utilize their rich cultural heritage to sustain their personal health and the health of their patients.
Meet Dr. Hilda Gonzalez, a board-certified and licensed acupuncturist based in California. She has a Doctorate and Masters degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego. Dr. Gonzalez is a former Clinic Director at a medspa in San Diego and is now solely focused on her thriving private practice which specializes on supporting women through fertility, prenatal and postpartum care as well as BIPOC trauma support. Dr. Gonzalez was born in Michoacan, Mexico, raised in East Los Angeles and has called San Diego home for the last 10 years. Fluent in Spanish, she is one of the few Spanish-speaking Doctors of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in California, enabling her to provide personalized and culturally sensitive care to her patients. She has offices in San Marcos and Los Angeles and offers virtual lifestyle medicine support. With her expertise and compassionate approach to healing, Dr. Gonzalez is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their lifestyle and wellness goals.
Dr. Berdugo was born in Fresno and grew up in Oceanside, CA. He is board certified in Family Medicine and practices in San Diego. He has a Bachelor's of Science from Stanford University, an MD from UCSD School of Medicine, and did his Residency in Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. In his practice, Dr. Berdugo emphasizes the importance of nutrition and exercise in maintaining good health. He uses evidence-based medicine to empower patients with tools to live healthier lives. Dr. Berdugo is Vegan for life, since 2010, and stays active through home workouts, Spartan Races, Marathons, and Ironman70.3. He is passionate about volunteering, playing music and traveling. Dr. Berdugo's top priority is spending time with his wife and family. He strives to maintain a simple, balanced life of meaning and contribution, and is honored to help his patients achieve their best possible health.
