About the event
Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
Please note that this is an 8-hour on-line training. Participant must attend entire day to obtain certification. Camera must be on at all times. Instructor will allow time for breaks. You must have a Zoom account and check zoom connection prior to training date. Participants will receive a Zoom invite the day before the training. If you do not receive an invite, please check your spam. If you do not receive an invite at least 15 minutes before training is scheduled to start, please call (619) 543-0412 ext. 113, 114, or 121. After successfully completing the training, participants will be mailed a MHFA manual and a certification that is good for three years.
