About the event
Mental Health First Aid for Adults Working with Children and Youth is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD), and eating disorders.
Please note that this is a 2-day/4 1/2 hour online training. Participants must attend and complete the training to obtain certification. Camera must be on at all times. The instructor will allow time for breaks. You must have a Zoom account and check your zoom connection prior to the training date. Participants will receive a Zoom invite the day before the training.
