About the event

Please note that this is an In-Person 1-day, 8-hr training. At the end of the training, each participant will receive a certification that is good for 3 years. Two 10-minute breaks and 30-minutes for lunch will be provided. If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or flu like symptoms, we encourage you to register for our Virtual training's or return to attend an in-person training later. Mental Health First Aid for Older Adults teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training — which focuses on the unique experiences and needs of adults over the age of 65 — gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
